✔︎ You will need:

✅ Ingredients:
• chicken thigh fillet – 1,5 lbs | 700 g
• mushrooms – 14 oz | 400 g
• onion – 7 oz | 200 g
• garlic – 2 cloves
• all-purpose flour – 1 tsp
• sour cream 20% – 1 cup | 240 g
• hot water or chicken broth – 1 cup | 240 ml
• cooking oil – 3 tbsp
• butter – 1 oz | 30 g
• salt – 1 tsp
• dijon mustard – 1,5 tsp
• dried parsley – 0,5 tsp
• ground black pepper – 0,5 tsp
• fresh parsley – to taste

📙 Preparation:
1. Cut chicken thigh fillet into small strips, slice mushrooms into large pieces, finely chop onion, and mince garlic.
2. Heat a pan with 2 tbsp cooking oil over high heat.
3. Add the chicken and fry in two batches over high heat until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes each batch, then transfer to a bowl.
4. Fry the champignons also in two batches, adding 1 tbsp vegetable oil if needed. Fry over high heat for 3-4 minutes.
5. Add butter to the pan, fry finely chopped onion over medium heat for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
6. Reduce heat, add minced garlic, all-purpose flour, ground black pepper, dried parsley, dijon mustard, fry together for 1-2 minutes over low heat.
7. Then add the fried mushrooms and chicken to the pan, hot water, and mix well. Add salt to taste.
8. Add sour cream to the pan, mix, and simmer for another 2-3 minutes over medium heat.
9. Serve chicken stroganoff hot, sprinkled with fresh parsley, with mashed potatoes, pasta, or vegetables.

👍 Advices:
1. Chicken thigh fillet can be replaced with chicken breast.
2. Mashed potatoes, pasta, egg noodles or rice make perfect side dishes.
3. To reduce fat, reduce or omit butter and oil; use low fat sour cream or greek yogurt.
4. Cut mushrooms large to retain juiciness and reduce moisture during frying.
5. Water can be replaced with chicken, vegetable or mushroom broth.
6. All-purpose flour can be substituted with any gluten free flour or starch you're accustomed to using.
7. Also you can add 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, the taste will be richer.
