Ingredients

1 cups all purpose flour (maida)
2 Eggs (at room temperature)
3/4 cup or 150ml Milk
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp vanilla essence
¾ cup or 150g powdered sugar
1/4 tsp salt (don't add if you're using salted butter)
½ cup or 100g melted butter

Method
Powder the sugar in a mixer, melt the butter in a microwave or by any other means.

Now sieve maida and mix with baking powder & salt and set aside. Then take a large bowl, add butter, eggs, milk and sugar and mix. When all the ingredients are mixed well, add vanilla essence, beat till all the ingredients are well mixed.

Now preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, grease the cake pan with butter and then flour with maida. Dust away any excess flour and keep the pans ready. Then add the all the mixtures together. Make sure that there are no lumps. Now pour the batter on the pans such that they are half full and place them in the metal rack of the oven. Bake at the same temperature for 25 to 30 minutes or till a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
