Hey Y'all!
Fall is here (my favorite season) so it's only right to bake this caramel apple coffee cake that's full of all the yummy fall flavors.
RECIPE:
* 1/2 cup Butter, melted
* 2 Eggs
* 3 cups All Purpose Flour
* 1 cup Granulated Sugar
* 1/2 cup brown sugar
* 2 tsp Vanilla extract
* 1/2 tsp Almond extract
* 4 tsp Baking Powder
* 1 cup chopped Honey Crisp Apples, peeled and diced small
* 1.5 cups Milk
* pinch Salt
* 1 tbsp Cinnamon
* 1/2 tbsp Nutmeg
* 1/4 tsp Allspice
Streusel Topping:
* 1 cup All Purpose Flour
* 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
* 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
* 6 tbsp Butter, melted
* Cinnamon, Nutmeg & Allspice, to taste
Instructions
Cake
1. Preheat oven to 350 F, grease one loaf pans.
2. Combine all cake ingredients, except apple pieces, in a stand mixer and beat on medium low speed until well mixed.
3. Fold in apples, gently mixing until combined.
4. Pour into your greased pan(s).
Streusel:
1. Combine streusel topping ingredients, mix with a fork until butter coats the flour and begins to form small pea size crumbles.
2. Sprinkle over the top of your cake.
3. Bake cake for 30-40 minutes, set a timer and insert a toothpick to check its doneness; leave in oven a little longer if need be.
4. Once cooled drizzle the cake with caramel.
